Grand Canyon University

Creative Producer for Photographer, Brandon Sullivan on branding campaign for Grand Canyon University.

GCU was readying a major outdoor campaign based on specific “colleges” within the university: College of Nursing and Health Sciences, Ken Blanchard College of Business, College of Education, and College of Liberal Arts. Moses Anshell’s creative vision focused on having the photography tell the story. This was accomplished through the “reflections” campaign. Photographer Brandon Sullivan photographed at break-neck speed during filming for broadcast. His approach: set up the frame and lock in the camera. Add lighting, then fine-tune, bring in talent, and photograph them in position while mentally flipping the “after scene” for the final composition in post-production.

The Role

As Creative Producer I was responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating the project while driving it through the entire lifecycle. This was a client and agency facing position with a high level of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write statement of work.
  • Serve as the primary point-of-contact for project stakeholders.
  • Clearly communicate project timelines, including milestones, deadlines, and deliverables to both agency and the client teams.
  • Facilitate talent casting & fee negotiations.
  • Responsible for managing, controlling, and reporting on the budgetary status of project.
  • Final accounting wrap and invoicing.

My goal for every project I manage—deliver creative excellence.
