Homecoming 2023

Personal photography project of Skyler Brooks. As the cliché goes—your kids will grow up right before your eyes. And, it’s true.

Pulling the camera out of its case is always a great feeling. Documenting a “first” for your child gives the experience extra special meaning. This was Skyler’s first dance, Homecoming 2023 as a high school freshman.

A couple of days before the photo shoot, the family went shopping for the suit, shirt, and tie. My youngest, Mandi, provided the essential services to make this a successful photo shoot: hair and make-up, on-figure styling, and assisting. She was also kind enough to offer me the family discount so I could pull this personal project together on a shoestring budget.
